Choose your project crew wisely

When you decide to make a life change, it’s natural to feel excited and want to share it with others. But be careful — not everyone is ready to see you take off.

  • Some people will doubt you.
  • Others will try to “protect” you by discouraging your dreams.
  • A few may fear losing your time or attention.
  • And some might simply envy your courage.

The truth? Every dreamer attracts both supporters and naysayers. So before you announce your “takeoff,” choose your audience carefully.

To the naysayers, give silence or patience.

To the naysayers, give silence or patience. Let your results speak later — when your “spaceship” has landed safely. In the meantime, transform their negativity into fuel. Let it drive you to prove them wrong. As Cristiano Ronaldo once did against Atlético Madrid — when criticism became motivation, and revenge came in the form of a hat trick — use doubt as energy, not discouragement.

Even after success, some will still minimize your achievements:

  • “You were just lucky.”
  • “If things had gone differently, you’d have failed.”

Don’t fight back. Surprise them instead:

  • “Thanks for your thoughts. And about you, what are your goals? … Maybe I can help you to come closer to achieve them.”

Sometimes your strength will awaken theirs. But above all — protect your energy. As Jim Rohn said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” If you surround yourself with negativity, you absorb it.

If you surround yourself with growth-minded people, you rise with them.

🎯 Summary

When you’re ready to change your life, not everyone will cheer for you. Some will doubt, others will discourage — often out of fear or envy. The key is to protect your energy and choose wisely whom you share your dreams with. Turn negativity into motivation, let your results speak louder than words, and surround yourself with people who believe in growth. The right circle doesn’t just support your journey — it elevates it. Your mission’s success depends not only on your plan…but, as well, on your project crew.

💡 Practical Tip: So, as you prepare for your next life project, do this exercise for each of your core life areas — Myself, Family & Friends, and Business:

  1. Identify the 5 people who lift you up.
  2. Spend more time with those who believe in your mission.
  3. Limit time with those who drain your focus.

The 5 people who lift you up will become your crew and their positivity will be your fuel. Because every successful mission starts not just with a goal — but with the right people on board.

Wishing You a FabuLux week-end! 😉
